Complete Roofing Solution
The kit provides all the materials required for roof sheathing using fibreglass resin. It includes everything needed to complete a professional GRP roofing installation.
Choice of 450g or 600g Chopped Strand Mat
The kit includes one layer of either 450g or 600g chopped strand mat. For balconies or areas with frequent foot traffic, the 600g layer is highly recommended. Otherwise, the 450g layer is generally used.
Roofing Resin and Topcoat Included
The kit includes roofing resin and catalyst, as well as topcoat and catalyst. This ensures a complete system for waterproofing and sealing.
Woven Glass Tape for Joining
A 50m roll of woven glass tape is included to join the edging trims to the roof surface. This ensures a strong, watertight seal at the edges.
Optional Surface Tissue
Surface tissue can be selected if a smoother surface is preferred. This provides an additional layer for improved finish.

How to Use Fibreglass Roofing Materials Kit

Preparation: Ensure the roof deck is clean, dry, and secure. Apply Polyurethane Sealer/Primer if required for moist timber or concrete surfaces.

Edging: Install edging trims and corners. Use woven glass tape to join the trims to the roof surface.

Catalyst Addition: Add catalyst to the roofing resin according to the recommended ratio. Stir thoroughly.

Laminating: Apply the catalysed resin to the roof surface. Lay the chopped strand mat into the resin and wet out thoroughly.

Topcoat: Once the laminate has cured, apply the topcoat and catalyst mixture for a smooth, sealed finish.

Curing: Allow the roof to cure undisturbed. Cure time varies with catalyst ratio and ambient temperature.
